Shivani Kochhar, M.B.B.S. (M.D.)

Shivani Kochhar, MBBS (MD), is an ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retina specialist at UF Health Jacksonville. With 14 years of experience, Dr. Kochhar delivers advanced, patient-centered eye care specializing in the diagnosis and management of complex retinal conditions. These conditions include diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusions and inherited retinal diseases.

Dr. Kochhar received her medical degree in ophthalmology from Guru Gobind Singh University in New Delhi, India, followed by a postgraduate degree from the National Board of Examinations in medical sciences. She developed strong clinical and surgical expertise while managing a large and diverse patient population.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Kochhar is actively involved in research, presenting at numerous national and international conferences and earning accolades, including award-winning presentations. She is highly proficient in advanced retinal imaging techniques and performs a wide range of procedures, including intravitreal injections and retinal laser treatments.
